Danielle was born in Brooklyn, NY to a Haitian mother and Italian-American father. She lived in Haiti as a toddler but spent her primary years growing up in NYC. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, focusing on public policy. After college Danielle joined Public Financial Management (PFM), a financial advisory firm for government entities including counties, townships and school districts. Danielle provided analytical support on municipal debt transactions totaling over $1 billion in bonds and notes. Later Danielle pursued her MBA from Harvard Business School and upon completion accepted a role at UBS Investment Bank. There she managed institutional client relationships, delivering a suite of analytical products to drive revenue. Yearning to get back to more impactful work, Danielle left Wall Street to work for a non-profit organization, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) which raises money to fund blood cancer research. As Chief of Staff at LLS, Danielle provides critical support to the executive leadership team to assess progress against the organization’s strategic priorities and operating plan. In 2021, Danielle was tapped to participate in the CEO Action Fellowship for Racial Equity where she partnered with over 200 fellows from Fortune 500 companies to advance legislation that addresses systemic inequity. Danielle and her family moved to Teaneck approximately 10 years ago and fell in love with the diverse community immediately. She quickly got involved, volunteering at all of her children’s schools and taking on PTO leadership roles. Later she was selected to serve on the Superintendent’s Beyond Diversity Committee. In 2020, Danielle ran for a seat on the Teaneck Board of Education and was incredibly humbled to have received the highest number of votes of any Teaneck elected official in history! The record was previously held by Matthew Feldman who served as Mayor in Teaneck and President of the NJ State Senate. While on the Board, Danielle advocated for transparency, student achievement, fiscal responsibility, and a post-pandemic return to in-person instruction. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys solving puzzles, logic problems and traveling with her family.
